It’s the most wonderful time of the year…unless you’re a buyer in the Bozeman Real Estate Market. Most years, real estate activity during the holiday season wanes a bit as consumers focus on time spent with friends and family. But as we’ve seen, 2020 is not “most years”.
The November stats from the Gallatin Association of Realtors shows pending sales up 24.2% for the entire Big Sky MLS from this time last year. That, coupled with little change in new listings from the previous year, continues to fuel our appreciation and the prevalence of multiple offers remains unchanged. Even as I talk with fellow agents, most seem to be busier this December than in years past. Year-to-date closed sales are up 18.2% over last year which speaks to the pace at which our market has been running at. All of that demand coupled with limited supply means sellers will not be finding lumps of coal in the stockings any time soon.
